Last week I participated in a webinar that discussed using social media in independent education. Anyone who knows me well knows that I am constantly looking for ways to market the great things happening at Brainerd Baptist School. One of the participants in the webinar shared an idea that I thought was really cool, so I am going to try it at BBS to see if we have similar results.
For the last two years I have had many parents tell me that their child has come home from school and they want either an iPod Touch or an iPad because our students use them at school so often. We have many parents who come to us for advice as they shop for these items. When I began thinking about what I could give away that would motivate people in our contest, the iPod Touch was the logical choice. So, on December 9th, we are going to give away a brand new iPod Touch. Yes, you read correctly, we are GIVING it away! You may be wondering what the catch is, so here are the details: We are beginning a "like" campaign for our Brainerd Baptist School Facebook Page. Our goal is to significantly raise the number of people who are following what is happening at BBS. So, if you are one of the 3 people I know that are not on FB (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!), I am sorry, you will not have a chance at this opportunity, but for everyone else, click here, and click the "like" button on our page and you are entered for the drawing for a free iPod Touch.
